Cheesy Sourdough Biscuits

Ingredients

1 ¾ cups flour

1 tbsp baking powder

¼ tsp baking soda

1 tbsp parsley

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp sugar

½ cup butter
-
¾ -1 cup grated cheese (of choice)*

1 cup sourdough discard
-
¼ cup melted butter
-
1 garlic clove
-
½ tbsp parsley or chives

Directions
pre heat oven to 425F.
In a bowl add all dry ingredients and mix to combine. Using a pastry cutter or fork, cut the butter in to form a crumbly mixture.
add cheese and stir to evenly distribute.
Pour in sourdough discard and mix to form a cohesive dough. Pour onto flat surface and roll out into a rectangle.
Fold the dough in thirds and roll out again. Using a pastry knife cut into 8 equal squares.
Place on a cast iron (or regular baking pan) and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the bottom just begins to brown.
While the biscuits are still warm, brush with garlic oil.
