Learn the art of sourdough using fresh milled flour, whole wheat, and ancient grains! 

This class will discuss how to mill your own flour, including my preferred mills and the reasons behind my choices, as well as the proper preparation of wheat and flour for making sourdough bread.  We will review the type of wheat that is best for various recipes such as traditional sourdough bread, sweet recipes and discard recipes. 

We will delve into the various methods for preparing grain for sourdough and explore why it may not ferment optimally when using fresh-milled flour, as well as how to address this issue.  In this class, we will explore discard recipes through conversation and learn how to utilize your freshly milled flour or whole wheat in these recipes, along with a comprehensive PDF booklet containing several recipes to try at home. 

Have both the recipe PDF and a recording of the class available forever (even if you cannot attend the class live) on an easy-to-access platform that is password-protected for class participants.

When: Saturday, June 7th, 2025 at 1pm Atlantic time (12pm EST)

Where: The live class is hosted via Zoom, and the recording will be placed into the Teachable platform within 48 hours of the class.
